The wearing of a bow tie tends to send out subtle messages about the wearer. People tend to believe that a man who wears a bow tie is intelligent. They think he is most likely a professional, such as a lawyer or a physician. Scientists wear bow ties. People just naturally think that a man in a bow tie is smart. That is cool, isn’t it?

Bow tie wearers are thought to be men who think outside of the box. They are unique and don’t care a lot about what people think of them. They are perceived of as being somewhat unconventional. That can be cool as well, because who wants to NOT stand out?

White Bow Tie dress code doesn’t mean that everyone should wear a white coloured bow tie. Generally speaking, a White Bow Tie dress code which is also called evening dress, full evening dress, top hat and tails or white tie and tails; is the most formal evening dress code in Western fashion.  It is distinguished from other formal dress codes because of it formality. It is worn on ceremonial occasions in some countries such as state dinners. It is also worn on very formal balls and formal evening affairs such as weddings. For men, the chief components include an evening black tailcoat which is also called a dress coat, a white bow tie, white waistcoat and stretched wing collar shirt. On the other hand, women wear an evening gown best suitable for the occasion. Another thing is that, men’s wear is more strictly to be followed compared to the women’s.

Since evening dress is proper for this, it is traditionally followed and considered correct only after 6 o’clock in the evening but some allow it even the affair starts on that time being followed.

Men can wear a tuxedo (American English) or dinner suit or dinner jacket (British English) for a semi-formal suit on a Black Tie dress code. The suit is typically black. It is commonly worn over a formal tuxedo shirt, with black pants covered by a cummerbund around the waist, black leather shoes and other accessories should match with the style and design.
